Project Architect

CORE architecture + design is looking for a Project Architect to join our team. We seek a highly talented individual with 4-7 years of practical experience, who wishes to grow through exciting and challenging work on large-scale, multifamily and mixed-use building architecture, commercial interiors, chef-driven restaurants as well as projects in entertainment and the arts.

You will work in a team led by a Project Manager and a Principal and support them through various phases of a project, from programming to design and implementation to the final punch list. A self-motivated team player with a positive, communicative, and collaborative approach, you will also collaborate with colleagues across CORE’s diverse practice areas, as well as with vendors, consultants and stakeholders at all levels.

We are a MAC based office, and design and documentation are done in ArchiCAD.

Our team is in the office five days a week and we feel it is important for everyone to be present to more efficiently collaborate with other team members and provide exceptional client service. 

 Qualifications:

• Strong technical and aesthetic awareness with skills necessary to successfully complete projects on time and on budget.
• Ability to produce high-quality drawings, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
• Experience to analyze program information and project challenges to effectively and efficiently complete design and implementation.
• Technical ability to develop design concepts in conjunction with the CORE aesthetic, and a desire to design in an exciting and fun and collaborative environment.
• Knowledge and ability to provide guidance to less experienced team members, advising and supporting where necessary.

 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or architecture from accredited school.
• 4-7 years of work-related experience.
• Demonstrable experience of design.
• CAD experience, preferably ArchiCAD.
• Strong interest in or actively pursuing professional licensure.
• Strong communication skills to interface with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Excellent presentation and visualization skills to communicate design ideas.
• Outstanding collaboration skills, a proactive and highly organized work approach, and a strong ability to work in a fast-paced team environment are essential.
