Liz Wins Prestigious AIA|DC Washingtonian Residential Design Award

Liz on 14th Street wins in the 2020 AIA|DC Washingtonian Residential Design Awards, in the Multifamily Housing category! Now in its 39th year, the co-sponsored awards competition recognizes excellence in residential design, including aesthetics, programmatic response and sustainability, throughout the Washington metropolitan region.

CORE collaborated with Whitman-Walker Health, Fivesquares Development, and Selldorf Architects on the 165,000 SF mixed-use development, transforming the historic Elizabeth Taylor Medical Center Building and Belmont Garage into a six-story structure with a penthouse, 60,000 SF of office space, 78 apartments, 20,000 SF of ground floor retail and restaurants, a Cultural Center, and an outdoor public seating area. Congratulations to everyone involved in the project!
